I am a student at the University of ALa. and a teacher at
at a Tuscaloosa Co. School. I am taking an online course
at the Uof A to enhance my teacher's certificate. The
problem is, as a student, my course is offered online and
the course asks for a power point presentation to be
posted to the online course. I am unable to do this. Is
this because the program I have does not allow me to post
power points online? I must be posting online power point
presentations for this course. How can I do this?My
product key # is J38f6-8xydy-mm8rp-37mwv-hc8yw. This
software is for teacher and student use.

Ok, so you're unable to post a PPT presentation to the web. Are you
posting to an FTP site or what?

"I am unable to do this" covers a lot of ground. You're gonna have to
give us some details. What are you doing, and what's happening when you
do whatever it is you're doing?

The Student/Teacher edition of Office, which I assume is what you have,
has the same applications (programs) as the "regular" versions of
Office. So if you have PPT, you should be "allowed" to post PPT files.
What version of Office is it? 97? 2000? XP?

Finally, don't post your product key to a newsgroup. Do you have any
idea how many thousands of people you've just given your key to?

Hi Susan. For starters, you shouldn't post your product key online or for
that matter, give it to anyone. That's somewhat like posting a friend's
credit card number after they've trusted you with it.

As to posting PowerPoint presentations online, there are SO many different
ways this can be done, particularly at a university, where they may have
their own specialized software for this, that there's no one set of steps we
can give you to try.

I'd start by browsing around a bit here:

http://www.ua.edu/techcomp.html

There's probably also a computer lab with staff that can explain the ins and
outs of their particular system. I'd check for that.
