Posted some weeks ago--still can't delete files in Temporary Internet Files

These are files with extremely long filenames within folders within
Content.IE5. I had no trouble deleting these files when I was running
Windows 98 SE but I've been unable to delete Content.IE5 using W2K.
Rebooting to Safe Mode didn't work.

How do I log on under a different account?

Reboot the machine, then log on under a different account. Problem solved
(assuming, of course, that you were unable to delete the files because they
were locked. If there is a different reason then you must post the exact
error message you see.)

When prompted for the user name, you select a different logon name, e.g.
Administrator. If you don't get prompted, log off, then log on under the
different name.

If auto-logon is enabled then hold the shift key while logging off.

.. . . or perhaps "hold down the shift key while booting up".
