When sending an appointment/meeting request in Outlook 2002, how can you get the proposed appointment to show on the recipients calendar BEFORE they have accepted it. On our previous email system, meetings that had yet to be accepted showed in italics. This way you knew there was a proposed meeting at that time, and you could avoid scheduling one that clashed

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Trying to get several people together for meetings is difficult enough at the best of times

Thank

Donna

I am having the same problem. Meetings are just getting
posted to the calendar without the Email notification.
All the research points to "this is normal". But in older
versions of Outlook, all appoinments showed up in an email
to accept/deny. Now, since the appointments are just
going into the calendar, it's hard to know if one has been
scheduled or not. Did you find any answers to this? I
noticed no one posted to your questions. Please email me
at (e-mail address removed) if you have found a work around or
fix.
