I have a couple of thousand contacts in outlook and I've just exported them
to a csv and noticed that nothing is stored in the "BusinessStreet2" field.
The city information is correct but multiple lines before this in an address
are all stored in "BusinessStreet1" with a carriage return so when I export
I get them in excel like this:-

Unit 10a
Haremill Cross Industrial Estate

i.e. in one cell whereas I would like the second line to be in the
BusinessStreet2 field. I've tried to re-arrange a contact in outlook to
reflect what I want but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I'm not sure I'm explaining myself very well, but hopefully you can
understand where I'm coming from

....to add.

the carriage return looks like a little square with a question mark in it if
it helps

Outlook always exports ehe street address information as a single
<multi-line> field regardless of what file format is selected (the
additional address lines shown in the <Map Custom Fields> map is to enable
different import fields to be consolidated in the <?StreetAddress> (? =
Home/Business/Other......)

Different options are:

#1 - Export to Excel and "split" the street address into diferent fields
#2 - Use a 3rd party export product

You may find our export product of interest which can export the Outlook
<multi-line> StreetAddress field into separate fields (allows up to 4
individual street address lines). An overview of ContactGenie Exporter can
be viewed here: http://www.contactgenie.com/cgxfeatures.htm
