Hi all,

I recently purchased an ASUS P5WD2 Premium mobo. I installed it. turned
it on and I can see the Logo screen. Then I push down on the DEL key to
enter the BIOS(What BIOS?) and see the message "Entering Setup...." but
nothing happens. I see the section that says detecting IDE..... then
detects the drives then does a blank screen on me and just waits and
waits and waits....

What could be the issue?

Bad BIOS settings? Try the reset jumper, assuming it has one.

Is there a disk drive cabled to the board, but no power cable
connected to the disk drive ?

Try using motherboard, CPU, memory, video card, keyboard, mouse, PSU
and see if you can enter the BIOS with that minimum config.

If all else fails, try a "cardboard test". Use motherboard and PSU
outside the computer case.
