I had a strange problem with my ASUS TUSL2-C and intel cel. 1100.
All of a sudden it didn´t want to POST. At most i got to BIOS where
mobo complained about CPU frequency. It was 733E instead of 1100. I
changed it back to 1100 and F10. PC did restart but VERY slowly. I was
never able to get to Windows.

Sometimes, i was able to get to BIOS but keyboard was locked and i was
not able to do anything. Then i started to reseat memory, NIC, GPU but
nothing. Finally i reseated CPU and voilá. It runs again.

Now my question is why?

Usually it's not important to understand why (in my opinion) partly
because there are so many possible problems. Just keep your eyes
open and if it happens again, you get another chance to figure out
why. If that happens repeatedly/persistently, then you need to know
why. Then, hopefully you will write about it here on USENET.

Good luck.
