I am not sure if this question has already posted or not, but here goes. I
am trying to post a presentation on a web server but some of the users will
not have powerpoint to view the show. I do not want to post it as html if it
can be avoided, but will if there is no way to post the presentation while
using Powerpoint Viewer. I am currently running PP 2003 and IE 6.0. Thanks
in advance for any suggestions.

Hi,
As far as I know you have 3 options for distributing a PowerPoint
presentation over the web: 1) send PPT file itself (user has
PowerPoint installed); 2) send PPT (user has PowerPoint viewer
installed); or 3) convert PowerPoint to a web-friendly format (HTML,
WMV, Flash, etc.)

Anyhow, I'm not sure if this would work for you, but I'm in the process
of creating a web presentation tool called iPresent Presio. The tool
is designed primarily for creating audio/video presentations synched
with PowerPoint slides, for distribution over the web.

The default output option is HTML based, but it also has a publish to
movie feature (WMV, Quicktime MOV, or Flash). This will convert the
PowerPoint presentation into a single media file that can be played
back with your viewer's media player of choice. Here's an example
movie that I produced using the tool:

Good luck.
