Scenario: User has Outlook 2000 installed on his system. The profile
is configured for MS Exchange. There is a second Outlook profile
created for the user to download email via an external POP3 account.
During the configuration of these profiles, in the Microsoft Outlook
setup wizard, there is a screen which asks "Do you travel with this
computer?"
"If you choose Yes you will be able to read and compose mail while not
connected to a network."
"If you choose NO you will only be able to read and compose mail when
connected to the Microsoft Exchange Server via network or modem."
Problem: User is unable to compose email offline as the email does
not save in the outbox folder. Both of the users profiles were
created with the "NO" answer.
Desired Outcome: The user wishes to read and compose email offline.
Exceptions: The solution can not be a matter of recreating a new
profile. What other settings/hacks are available?
Any suggestions? I have exhausted my web searches for a reasonable
answer.
Thanks in advance.
