Post-installing a HAL driver? (probably real trivial)

What is the procedure for installing a HAL driver after Win2K has been
installed? I know all about the majik F6 at installation time and have
installed several HAL drivers that way, but I've never been faced with
installing a HAL driver after the fact.

A shove in the right direction would be appreciated.

You change your HAL by changing computer type in Device Manager. However
there are limits to what you can change, for example you can change from
single to multiprocessor but not from PIC to APIC. What are you trying
to accomplish?

Evidently, I was trying to accomplish a demonstration in senility, by the
looks of it. Just prepping the system for some hardware changes. As it
turned out, RTFM works real good for answering questions. (Ain't it always?)
Mucking with the HAL wasn't necessary.

Thanx for the reply, though.
