Vista appeared to install successfully except every few seconds a popup tries
to install Microsoft Project Professional 2003 and keeps asking for the disk.
I have no idea what it is talking about. How do I stop this constant popup?
 
I had that issue with all my Microsoft apps. It means Windows is looking for
something. To fix it, I inserted the installation CD for the affected
program and selected the option to repair the installation. Once it went
through that process the application worked fine.
 
Microsoft also has a Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. A search on that
name or just "cleanup utility" will take you to the kb and the download
link.
