post file is damaged and needs to be restored (Outlook2000)

One of our users's Outlook 2000 Post file had exeeded 2.0 MB limit and his Ms Outlook hanged hereafter he could not send or received any e-mails.

The *.pst file shows file size as 1.99 MB

We have opened him a NEW post files but he has important still in the old post file which needs to be restored as it says file damaged after running the SCANPST.EXE

Please advise soon as posssible

You will need to use the crop tool to take some data out of the middle of
his old .PST file so that it can be opened and the rest of the data can be
