possible virus? i need help asap!

well first i received the following email. then i followed it's directions and found the file it was talking about. i thought it was a hoax but then i also noticed that though the file was created on 8/25/03, it was modified on 2/28/04. is it still a hoax or do i have something to worry about? if it's real that means i only have a week left before my computer crashes on me.
