I though that I had said that.
After explaining that - if you have only one profile -
Administrator - and the OP wanted to delete the Default User
profile, I explained that I thought that it may cause major
complications if you then attempted to create a new profile
without it.
But if the OP was left with only one profile like was
suggested (i.e. Administrator) then with or without "Default
User" if this profile was corrupted there's no way to enter
the OS to recover anything anyway!
I did say that I thought the best idea, if "clutter" was the
issue, would be to assign "hidden" attributes to the other
folders within "Documents and Settings".
Making the other folders "hidden" is totally safe option and
will not impact negatively on the operating system in any
way.

If you just use "Administrator" as your normal profile you
can then delete [remove] the other user that you would have
been required to create at install-time.
This would leave you with :
Administrator
All Users
Default User
LocalService
NetworkService
The folder "Default User" is only ever used as a "Template"
for when you create a new profile.
I think you could delete this folder but it may cause major
hassle if you ever decided to then create a new profile
without it being present anymore.
Don't delete this folder!!! If ever you have profile
corruption the system will not be able to create a new
profile for you!
