Possible to reinstall

Is it possible to reinstall remote assistance to WinXP
home, without reinstalling the entire operating system? My
remote assistance worked great until an update a few weeks
back....has'nt worked since. I get a message to the extent
that it is not installed.

The link you provided doesn't help. It contains dozens of links straightback to the Microsoft web site where the answer to the "Unable to resolve hostname" problem is not answered.
