I've just got a new pc that doesn't have Powerpoint installed. I have
downloaded the free viewer so that I am able to see slideshows but am unable
to print as slides as I could on my old pc which had Powerpoint installed. I
can print them but only with one slide to each sheet of paper which uses far
too much paper. I used to be able to print them with 4 or 6 slides on each
page, is it possible to do this in any way with the Powerpoint viewer?

Any help would be much appreciated, as this is the way most of my university
lecturers tend to present their lecture notes.

The free viewer only prints one slide per page. You'd need PowerPoint itself to
print handouts (4/6/etc. slides per page)

Some printer drivers let you print several "virtual pages" on one sheet of
printer output though. Check your printer options ... maybe the printer can do
the job in place of the viewer/PowerPoint.
