Crunching uses a lot of the CPU. Does this neccisarly mean when trying to play games, it will freeze or generate a labyrinth of ugly error messages?

Have done 250 hours on CoD4, and never had a problem. Crunching takes second place to all other tasks.

Game speed is optimal.
