Hi,

Although I find value in MS Antispyware, I am afraid that my users (and
myself) will get sooooo used to seeing/confirming the popup boxes that if
something bad actually happens, we will ignore it.

you know, "the boy who cried wolf"....

I have tried checking the "remember this action", but antispyware still
displays the boxes.

Good example of this is that I have my "My Documents" folder on a server
instead of locally. Everytime I log in, I get the warning that says someone
is trying to move my MyDocs folder. Yes, I was the one who moved it :-)

Can I approve these actions *once* and never be bothered by them again?

I am running as a limited user if that matters (presumably no rights to
write into program files/etc).

Thanks for any guidance,

joe

Not an answer i'm afraid, but i have the same problem. Seems that when I am
logged in to my admin account I don't get the alerts (as i've turned most of
them off), however when my limited user account is used, there are 2 alerts
on every login.
These are "Internet explorer search hook requires your approval" and one
about changing my home page. Strange thing is, neither of these settings ever
change on my machine - not installing any software, not changing the home
page etc. (and yes, have run full spyware scan!).
Seems that Windows AntiSpyware is somehow becoming confused over settings in
2 different user accounts.

Would be interested to know if this is a bug or how to stop the alerts in
the limited user account...

Yup, I think you are correct. Thanks for the link, it cleared all my
confusion up. Sounds like Beta 2 is worth waiting for if it delivers on
this....

Thanks again,

Joe

I had the same issue with my wife's account (weak account with no
administrator rights).

I solved it by changing her account into administrator temporarely, logged
in with her account, check 'remember this answer', and changing her accounts
to 'no administrator' again.

The pop-ups didn't show up again.

Good luck,
SJ

Yup, worked like a champ! Thanks....
