Is it possible to check RAM speed (e.g. PC-100, PC-133, etc) without
actually opening the computer and looking at the label on the memory stick?

Thanks - that is exactly what I was looking for!

I have seen this on everest.. http://www.lavalys.com/
they used to have a free home edition but they pulled it from their
servers

On my computer it showed the speed of the ram, I tried it on a laptop and
the information was not displayed.. so if it can or not depends on the
system...

you can try the trial and see if it gives you that info you want

Wow, that CPU-Z tool is awesome except for one thing: It doesn't appear to
work on servers. I tried it on both 2000 and 2003 Windows servers and in
both cases it wouldn't report any details on the memory - only total size.
Are there any tools like this for servers?
