I have a station with a custom machine.
PIV 3200
WIN2K
Office 2003
MS Anti Spyware
Norton Corp.
and so on.
This person downloaded somehting off the internet and it has buggered up his
machine. I have tried doing a spyware sweep and so on, along with a virus
check.
Now when he tries to access anything outside of his HD, (file server,
internet, e-mail, etc.) it won't connect. When trying to go to a website it
gives me the page cannot be displayed and the address changes from:
www.yahoo.com
to
http:///? www.yahoo.com
This sounds to me like spyware in the host file. Can anyone let me know how
to fix this problem.
