For those of you who get the error message "...remote host name could not be resolved." when trying to use remote assistance, try this on both computers to fix it:
Go to Control Panel>User Accounts, then click Change The Way Users Log On Or Off. Then in the Select logon and logoff options window, uncheck the box Use Fast User Switching, then click Apply Options. Restart your pc and then try using Remote assistance as you normally would. This solution worked for me. Let me know if you have any luck.
