Using Access 2K2.
Background: I have 3 tables as my 'base'; one contains news articles
(dates, names, source), one contains locally assigned keywords (such as
"Platte River", "US Fish & Wildlife Service", etc.), and the last is a
'Join' table. The ArticleName field is a hyperlink to the document. I set
the hyperlink as a UNC so that it can be accessible anywhere in our P2P
network (7 computers). I created a query to combine the data from these
tables for use in forms and a report.
(Possible) Problem: The UNC I set is as follows:
\\MIKEWEBB\SharedDocuments\News Article DB Contents\<file name>, but when I
look at the path after running the query, it comes up as ../../../All
Users/Documents/News Article DB Contents/<file name>.
I haven't split the DB yet, so haven't been able to test this on another
computer. I would like to know: Is this normal? Any problems for the
users to open the doc? If it is a problem, how to I correct it?
Cordially,
