I am a new network techician and my boss gave me the task of finding out
which of our external IP's are being used. I used a utility to ping all the
external IP's and came up with the list that were being used. I figured out
which machines were using these Ip's. My problem is there was 1 Ip being
used and we do not know which machine is using it. How do I find out which
machine is using this IP? When i click details in this utility I am using it
say no domain name.

Thank

Do you have some kind of packet decoding utility? You need
to get the MAC address out of the header.

Download GFI's Languard network scanner (www.gfi.com I think)
The evaluation mode should be fine to tell you what you need to know.
(It may also tell you things you didn't want to know, but need to.)
