Hi, I found my way here after a week of fruitless
attempts by Gateway to correct my problem. I seem to have
a corrupt folder, or file that keeps locking up windows.
I have symantec and have downloaded the latest upgrades
and attempted to run a scan, but it keeps stopping on a
file c:\winnt]system32\dllcache and may be specifically
at \dxapi.sys. Is there a way to overwrite this file
from the restore disc without losing any of my files? I
have never done a backup and honestly have no idea where
to start to save everything for a complete delete and
reinstall of the OS disc. Thanks for all ideas.
