Positioning in edit mode

In edit mode, using PPT 97, most of my slides appear mid screen
horizontally. After an editing session, some now appear at the left of the
screen (master slide and all). All project fine in Slide View mode. What
is going on and how do I correct it?

You might have some objects off the viewable area of the slide. Select an
object and keep hitting the TAB button to select each object. Eventually,
you are likely to hit one off the slide. The extra object might also be on
the slide master, so check there as well.

Thanks, David.
Just discovered that for myself! The offending object was an empty text
box!
