POS Printer Command

Hi There,

I try to get an EPSON TM-290 Slip Printer
to work only just 2 things:

first:
I want to mak it acept the ÖÄÜ äöü

second:
I want to make it print in double-high (not wide).

I´ve tried the Hex codes for TM-295 but the do
not work.

Can anyone help me?

Have you tried google
EPSON TM-290 Slip international character set

Results 1 - 10 of about 1,780 for EPSON TM-290 Slip international
character set. (0.55 seconds)

And looked at the 3rd result ?

Yes I did,
i have a PDF manual for the TM-290II and have tried almost everything
but i think dont come clear with the ESC-Codes-Programing.

example for to pic the doublehigh-mode the manual says:
(ESC h) so i do in HEX: 1B 68 1 or try no 1 for swich on off and the text

so i get a line looks like:
"" is in hex:
"1B @" = initilize
"1B 68" TEXT TEXT

but no double high comes out.
do you have any idea what i do wrong?

The Star manual I found has poor wording and no example, but looks like
it might want an ASCII "0" or "1" (1B 68 31).
so i get a line looks like:

Try:

print chr(27), "h1This should be double height."
print chr(27), "h0This should be normal height."
