I am looking for a small portable USB hard drive (40GB) to take work
from the office to home, daily. What are all the options out there?
I know of LeCie <http://www.LeCie.com>. Are there others?

I bought a case for about $70, but you can get them online pricewatc.com for
cheaper.

Mine is fairly nice, Mobile Disk it's called.

I bought a new drive for my machine and put my old one in the case for
backups.
Very convenient.
Just make sure the box you get is 3.5", unless your drive a 2.5" laptop
drive.

Maxtor makes the Personal Storage 3000LE drive. Western Digital has a 40GB
USB2 model as well.

I guess I need to amend my requirements:) What I like about the
LaCie drives is that they are SMALL, SMALL, SMALL and no external
power is needed. The later is a major requirement. I am going to
be taking this unit to and from home and work everyday. The less
wires I need to deal with, the better!

I am currently considering one of these:

<http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?id=10106>

Then I would get a 256 or 512 MB pen drive and just copy files that are
changed.
