The 'Portable Media Devices' folder is missing from the control panel
on my computer. I've had a look with Tweak UI and the icon is not being
hidden, so I don't know what's happening. I'm running WinXP Pro SP2
with everything up to date.

Any suggestions greatfully received.

If you have WMP11 Beta installed, please check these discussions:

I've tried replacing the dll file specified in the posts you linked to
but it hasn't solved the problem for me. Any other thoughts?

No other ideas. Perhaps they've removed the PMD icon completely, in the
interim builds. Pls check with WMP newsgroups for updated info on this
matter.
