Portable IP adress configuration ?

dear all,

my company is devided in two location, the main office
somewhere and the agent office somewhere else.
At the main office site, network is setup with DHCP and
DNS server and all workstation there are set with DHCP IP
attribution.

In the other side there is the Agent site where all
workstation there are define with fixed IP adress and have
DNS server but no DHCP.

All employee from those two site can commiunicate each
other with a VPN connexion between

I usually need to travel between those two site with my
portable so if I am in main office, I set my portable with
DHCP server use, but then in when I go to agent site I
cannot see anymore the main office network.

What is the best way I can set up my portable to handle
both site configuration, should I use also DHCP from agent
office which meqn that if my portable cann found the DHCP
seerver in main office he will have private adress.

In my mind alternate configuration should be the best way
but want to be sure, thanks for your comment

Does the DHCp server in main site can distribute IP adress
to Agent ofice over VPN connection? I think not right

How to setup two IPs on a computer

Q: I have a laptop at the office and home. How can I configure tcp/ip for
the office and home.

A: You may have two options. 1) if one of networks uses DHCP, you can select
Alternative Configuration to add another static IP. Note: You can have only
one static IP. The computer will try to get an address from a DHCP server
first. If it fails, it will use the static IP. 2) Or run netsh.exe (from w2k
Resource kits) if both networks use static IPs.
