here is what i am trying to do :
Forward a port to a computer behind a router and that router itself behind
the W2K RRAS server. Here is the setup :

DSL Modem Internet
|
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
W2k server
192.168.7.254 -------------------------
| |
192.168.7.234 192.168.7.1
Router ComputerX
192.168.0.254
|
192.168.0.1
ComputerZ

Lets say that i need to forward port 3389 (for remote desktop) to computerZ
(192.168.0.1) so that someone can connect to it from outside. :
W2K forward 3389 to router (192.168.7.234)
router forward 3389 to computerZ (192.168.0.1)

But it's not working why???? This is really strange because i did more
testing and i am getting the results that i expected :
1) instead of forwarding the port 3389 to the router, i forward it to
computerX which is just behind the RRAS server. Try to connect to that
computer from outside. IT WORKS!
2) Keeping that router with the port 3389 forward to computerZ, i try to
connect from ComputerX to computerZ and again IT WORKS!

So here is the problem :
A->B (outside to computerX) GOOD
B->C (computerX to computerZ) GOOD
So : A->C should be good as well but NO!!! why???

Is there a bug with W2K RAS or is there something that i forgot to do?
I think we even tried with a different port (6881 torrent) hoping it was
only remote desktop but we got the same result!

Hi,
Try forwarding port 3389 from Win2k to directly to computer Z (192.168.0.1).
It should work.
enjoy
