My router log is displaying hundreds of incoming non-stop internet contacts
for my IP:59822.
I am wondering what is going on?

My system is responding also using Port 59822 but I cannot locate which
process on my machine is doing it.

Any info?

I think you have posted in the wrong NG. This one is specifically for Windows
Defender Antispyware issues. Just out of interest. Did you get an IP address?

Sorry. I did not realize that I had the wrong group.

I have traced the problem to an installation of "muTorrent" put on by my son
to download movies.

I have removed the muTorrent software so my machine is no longer sending out
packets to Port 59822. However, my machine is receiving hundreds of packets
addressed to my machine IP: 59822. I think my machine must be listed with
muTorrent as a source for downloads. I cannot find out how to notify
muTorrent users to stop sending requests to me.

Any ideas?

With nothing listening on 59822, the packets will be dropped. Nothing to
worry about. If you are on dynamic IP, your IP will change over time, and
the packets will move on to the next recipient. Power-cycling the dsl or
cable modem may encourage this to happen.
