Port 3389 is open. I have been successfully accessing through the public ip
to my PC from other computers. It is from the laptop that I cannot access
the PC. It is on the same network as my PC. I made an exception for remote
desktop on the laptop in windows firewall but it still didn't connect. Is
there some other setting that could be blocking the laptop from remote
desktop to my PC?

Is this on the same LAN? If so are you using the private static LAN IP to
call?

Thank you for your responses. It is an ip that is not static and is through
the ip server. As I stated before, I do have a successful connection from
other PC's, just not this laptop, so I believe the problem is exclusive to a
setting on this laptop.

Are you any type of Cisco VPN client on the laptop? The reason I ask is I
have seen reports of a Cisco VPN client causing similar issues.
