Hi,
I cannot retrieve email on dial-up but I can on my broad band connection. I
have checked all log-on and account details with my ISP and settings within
my virus checker and security programmes. Telnet does not work on either
connection and is enabled in Services. The reported error is: Could not open
connection to the host, on port 110: Connect failed. I am able to ping.
I have Checked for upgrades or patches and Hijackware.
Additional SW: Norton Internet security professional and antivirus. I have
scanned the vendor sites and still the problem persists. With this disabled
the problem still occurs. Installed service pack: WindowsXP Pro SP2
The outlook error message is: 0x800CCC0D
I've searched the KB and tried everything that I could find. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
