Frequently when I connect to the internet, porn popups
show up - how do I get rid of these?

If you mean, when you FIRST connect to the internet...
Some sites change your home page. Check Control Panel...
Internet Options... General tab... Home Page area... Is
the url which appears in the Address field what you want
for your home page?

might try and download the software spybot search and
destroy v1.2 install it then use this to scan your
harddrive for scumware execute the search for updates
first.

Are you running the personal firewall? If the popups are coming in
via the Microsoft Message Service (not MSN Messenger) then they may be
coming in via port UDP 135. Block this via personal firewall
software.

Hope this helps,
Phil
