My son accepted a prompt to install a tool bar in IE. This toolbar is full of porno sites. How do I remove the toolbar?
D DVarnau Aug 23, 2003 #2 There's a good chance that either Spybot - Search & Destroy: http://security.kolla.de/ or Ad-aware 6- Lavasoft: http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ can remove this. Or... with IE not open, run regedit and make your way to this key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\] Export that key (just in case) then delete the offending sub-key representing your unwanted toolbar.
