porn icons display on desktop

these porn icons keeping showing up on the computer
screen. I have deleted them, and thought I found the
program that was putting them there, but guess not. got
any suggestions?

When you say you thought you found the program, how did you accomplish
that? Have you run both AdAware and Spybot on your system? (The free
versions are perfectly adequate.) Which operating system are your
using? Have you checked the StartUp group, msconfig, system processes,
and/or Registry settings as appropriate for your OS? If you can
identify the porn site involved, doing a Google search with the site
name and keywords like "remove" or "spyware" will often get you to
information sites with specific removal instructions.

Have you tried AdAware (www.lavasoft.de) or SpyBot Search & Destroy (forgot
the url) ?

Not visiting porn or hacker sites also helps :)

Thanks all for the great suggestions!!! I appreciate it,
I did check the start up group, system process and all,
the problem is it's not my computer, and I am not familiar
with Gateway xp home edition.
I will try your suggestions espically the one where he
shouldn't be going to those sites ; - )...
