When we sign on we get popups, sometimes several, and the
all seem to be from someone selling me a product to stop
popup's.

I read somewhere this is a feature in windows xp.

Is there some way to disable these popup's without
spending money on another program?

Can someone tell me how do do it if there is?

It is not a Feature, per se, but a tool that has been taken advantage of
that can be blocked by another tool in XP. Also, you may have
SpyWare/AdWare on your machine, so defintiely, look over this whole page:
