Jay Fitz.

Hello there.

I have been having some problems with my IE lately, and
any assistance that any of you may kindly offer would be
mostly appreciated.

Everytime I click on a link that needs a new window to be
pop-upped and loaded, it freezes for a long time and
often crashes. I'm not so sure, but I think there is some
sort of command that you type in the Start -> Run area.

Thankyou for your time.

Hi Jay,

1. Click [Start] [Run] type:
(Press Enter after each command)
Regsvr32 /i URLMON.DLL
Regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
Regsvr32 shdocvw.dll

2. Restart Windows
3. Open IE [Tools] [nternet Options] [Programs] [Reset Web Settings]

If this does not help, run this fix: Based on MSKB article:
http://www.angelfire.com/dragon/sramesh2k/utils/IEFix.exe

Manual procedure: (Microsoft Knowledge article link)

Hi,

I had the same problem as Jay below. I followed what you
had suggested to him and it worked fine!

Everytime I clicked a link which had to open a new page,
the page would just freeze and eventually just crash. I
ran the Reg's in the run command, and voila! new windows
and links appear! Just a thank you for posting this
great tip!

You're Welcome, Christian. And thank you for posting your feedback :o)
