what does this popup message means? (there are no spare
stack pages. it may be necessary to increase the setting
of "min sps" in system. ini to prevent possible stacks
fault. there are currently five sps. allocated. press any
key to continue).

What application do you run when this popup appears?

Is there currently a "min sps" parameter in your system.ini file? If
so, under what section is that parameter located (it looks like
"[sectionname]")?

Why are you posting in a Windows 2000 newsgroup for a Windows 95/98
problem? I found a Microsoft KB article that mentions this setting in
system.ini. You can find it, too, by going there and doing the search:

- Go to http://support.microsoft.com/.
- Advanced search.
- Search on "min sps" (exact phrase) for Windows 95.
- Voila!

Read the article titled, "Error Message: There Are No Spare Stack
Pages". By the way, the parameter name is "MinSPs" (or "minsps"), not
"min sps"; there's no space. Did the error message actually say "min
sps" with the space?
