Under OL2003 ScanPST.EXE is in the C:\Program Files\Common
Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 directory.

You have a Hotmail or MSN account accessed via an HTTP account in Outlook.
That PST appears to have been damaged. What is its size? You should be
able to find it at the path in the error message. As to the location of
SCANPST, enable searching hidden files and folders when you search. If it's
not on Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office Tools or STart>All
Programs>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Office Tools as "Inbox Repair Tool",
then look for it in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 (for an
English installation) as SCANPST.EXE.

You know, since this is an account where all the messaegs are kept on the
server and the PST acts only as a cache to help performance, you should be
able to remove the MSN account (which should delete the broken PST) and add
it in again (thereby creating a brand-new PST) with no ill effects at all.
That should obviate the need for SCANPST.EXE.
