Popup Blocker

I don't know of any spyware removal product that includes a popup blocker.
Fact is, if you do not have spyware on your system you have little need for
a popup blocker. The free Google toolbar has one, or if you have WinXP SP2
installed there is a popup blocker built into IE. What more do you think
you would need?

Hi Rick,
I think the consensus is that any popup blocker is a piece of your browser.
SP2 has a nice one IMVHO.

A pop up blocker in SP2 that works would be handy! you
say xp sp2 has this but what it doesn't allow is for you
to list those pop-ups that you want to block, only the
ones that you want to un-block.

I have had nightmares with this feature and have killed a
lot of by hiding behind a proxy tunneler ... MS antispy
could do very well and lead the way by including a popup
blocker that sends the blocked spywares straight to the
xp sp2 explorer list of blocked items, that way it would
rely on having to clear the same list of trojans and
dialers that it finds on a daily basis, but does nothing
about
