Popup Blocker Problems

I am using XP Pro ...had all updates and SP2 installed and that started my
problems. Even with popup blocker disabled, it still blocks ALL popups
including those I want ! I rolled back the SP ..restarted..and its still
blocking popups.

My question is: how do you shut off that USELESS Microsoft Popup Blocker
FOREVER!

I'm just about ready to dump Windows and move on to Linux !

HELP !!!!!!

Third party toolbars like Yahoo and Google have popup blockers.
 
Check your IE Add-ins and see what else is installed.

From IE:

1. Click on Tools | Manage Add-ins

Look through the list and see what is installed, do you see anything
pertaining to Yahoo, Google, MSN, Windows Live, ... ?

Also check Popup Blockers under Tools ... is it on ... if it's off, Popup
Blocker Settings will be disabled (dimmed).
