PopTray Alternative

I was using PopTray even the latest beta, both it and the supposed stable
version every once in a while would error out on my Win XP Home system with
Broadband, I never lost mail, it was just frustrating.

I am now using a program that does the same job and more called:
PP Mailcheck
http://ppsoft.dk/Mailcheck_eng.htm

I hope this helps others.

I have recently noticed a red exclamation mark over top of Pop Tray's icon
in the tray next to the clock. The error message says something about mail
services being unavailable. I found that by manually checking the mail, the
problem was corrected. Yesterday however, I had to reboot to be able to
access my e-mail.

How long have you been using PP Mailcheck? Have you noticed any bugs or
unique behavior in it yet?.

That seems to the case with PT 3 beta. I hope Ranier can fix it.

I'm running beta 12 and have had no problems.
