The problem you are facing is with Yahoo not outlook. Unless you pay for the Yahoo additional mail service you can not use the smtp protocol for outlook. Yahoo does allow you to access outlook thru your free yahoo account, but it doesn't allow you to add yahoo to your outlook account. It is yahoo's way of making money.
