POP3 Trap utility - What is it?

Hi!

Can anyone tell me what a POP3 trap utility is? It has
been suggested that I need to turn it off to solve an e-
mail problem.

I haven't got a clue what it is, or where to find it. Can
anyone help?

Hi!

My father has been getting an eror msg of x8OOCCCOE every
time he tries to send an e-mail. It started literally
overnight. I posted a request on this site a few days
ago, but all of the suggestions that we got we had
already tried.

In desperation yesterday he completely wiped his pc, only
to find that its still doing it! He can send and receive
with one ISP but only receive with the other. he has
always been able to send/receive on both with no probs up
until now.

I can't answer quite yet, I'm going to debug it, may request private email
for debugging at some point.

Hi!

After the error no x8OOCCCOE it says, connection to
server failed. I don't know if that helps at all.

Hi!

We have done that, but sadly no luck :-(

How do I go about getting the permissions for access to
ISP address checked? I contacted the ISP last week for
help, but that didn't want to know about it.
