pop3 server

When I open outlook 2003, first I go to tools menu then email accounts then
add new email account..it only gives me 3 options. Microsoft exchange server,
IMAP and HTTP. POP3 is not highlighted so I can not tick the circle to choose
it..Why can I not do this? Can anyone help me please?

Not sure if you feel comfortable looking in the registry, but can you see if
this registry key/value exists?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options
Valuename: DisablePOP3
Acceptable Values: 0 or 1 (1 = disable/gray out the option to add a pop3
account)

The DisablePOP3 value could also exists at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options
