The messenger service has nothing to do with MSN
Messenger. Messenger servive pop ups were designed for
network administrators to deliver information to other
computers on the network. However advertisers are now
using this. To disable the messenger service right click
on My Computer - Manage - Services - Find Messenger
Service and disable it. Then install a firewall.
