Somehow i got something installed on my Pc while i was out of town, yah for

Ok here is the issue, when i open my IE, set to google as my home page, or
yahoo, or msn, any anything, it bypasses and come up with this link.
http://www.updateyoursystem.com/
and a pop up that i have to click to goto another page. There is also a
small triangle (yellow) that from time to time pops up next to the clock. I
have clicked it and it takes me to spy troopers webpage to purchase there
software. I have emailed them to no avail. I have wne to add/remove.. nothing
is there. I have erased all my cookies, temp files, history. I have even went
ot regedit and reomved everything that i can that has that name. Now this
(bug) is starting to stop me from browsing other normal pages, it puts a
block up below the area that Windows firewall blocks come up bleow the search
bar. Can you guys help me, i dont wanna use Mozilla. I like IE... thanks
guys.....

Hi,
First try Ad-aware (free) from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
Download, install and use the Update feature before using the program. You
want the latest definition files.

Next, try the free trial of Super Ad Blocker.
See:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.security.homeusers/msg/71ec91fe8c26b809?hl=en&
or http://snipurl.com/ko9z

If unsuccessful with those programs, start at
http://forum.aumha.org/viewtopic.php?t=4075 Then go to
http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm Work through the preliminary cleaning
steps then post a HijackThis log to the forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/viewforum.php?f=30

Be patient. It's a busy forum.

Further to what MVP Don Varnau has already offered - you may
want to run 'HijackThis' since your system has likely been compromised.

Download and run HijackThis;
Read this Tutorial *before* first use;
Once done > run HijackThis > save a scan log and post it to /any/ of the
following (expert) forums for analysis.
*Note, registration is required prior to posting a log.

If you choose this option, please post back the *URL* where you posted
your log *not* the entire log - for follow-up.

Good luck.

A very good analysis of the HihackThis log may be had automatically in just
a few minutes here: http://www.hijackthis.de/en
In my experience last week, both IE and Firefox were hijacked. If you want
to read the story: http://www.myscacc.org/Newsletters/0512News.pdf Click on
the front page What's Inside the Questions & Answers - a Monthly Feature. A
footnote to the whole episode, three days later, ezTrust Anti-Virus caught
the trojan again and removed it.
