Pop Ups

In surfing the net the other I unmistakably picked up a worm. It is causing
my system to slow a bit and for constant pop ups even when Internet Explorer
is closed. All the spyware programs find nothing wrong. I did a scan with
McAfee online and they found a worm called Arcon. I have Microsoft Spyware
but it is not seeing this worm. Also, I am not even sure if this worm is the
cause of the pop ups gettung past my pop up blocker.

Do anyone have any idea of how to fix this problem. I cannot stand the pop
ups one more minute.
 
Did you try scanning safe mode with Microsoft AntiSpyware by choosing a full
system scan? On the Scan Page, choose Scan Options > Full System Scan >
check the boxes below > click Run Scan Now. It works sometimes.

Thank you for the help. Looks like it got rid of everything except for an
annoying Ebay pop-up. Any ideas?
