Probably been asked a million times, but i have a
problem. When I launch IE 6.0, I get 2 popups - the same
ones each time. How can I get rid of these? Thanks in
advance!

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.

They are really excruciatingly annoying! It's hard for me
to understand there are people so hung up on making money
that they are willing to impose a little bit of suffering
upon a lot of people --which amuont to a lot of
suffering. I really truly despise those people!

I had the same problem, and fixed it by having my router
block all traffic to domains containing the following
terms (which I found in the web page that popped up):

vipadvantagecard
icardservices
freecooloffers
cardtraffic
fastfind

It's a brute-force approach but I couldn't find the source
of my misery (= those stupid popups), and it worked, so...

I keep hoping some hackers will finally do something
useful, and DDoS attack those sites... :-)
