pop-ups when idle on desktop all through the night

I wake up in the morning only to find multiple pop-ups on
my desktop when nothing is running. I have XP Pro. 2 user
set-up. Also, when i right click my toolbar, I see stuff
I did not put on my system: superbar,ISTbar,search(that
is there twice). All this is only on one user not the
other, the one user with all the pop-ups directly to my
desktop. Please help. Thank you -brian
 
Sounds like you have a serious case of spyware. You
should get Ad-aware and Spybot. With these tools you
should be able to get rid of the spyware. You'll have to
do a search on the internet because I don't know the URLs
off hand.
 
I would say that is right, you run any file sharing programs? Or downloaded
any free stuff lately? Alot of the so called "free" programs place spyware
on your system......Keith
